Over 30 years ago, Jack Copsey started the business that is now JBC, Inc. The early years included operating a service station in Gering, Nebraska. In 1977 a Conoco distributorship was added serving local farmers and Conoco brand dealers with fuel and lubricants. The Company opened the first card-operated fueling facility within 100 miles of Scottsbluff in 1980. In 1985 Jack bought his first semi-truck and tanker to haul fuel. Through the late 1980s the company operated a division offering sale, installation and repair of service station pumps and tanks. The company was involved in the ownership and operation of several convenience stores over the years. In 1987 the company reorganized as JBC, Inc. Jack’s son, Brian joined the company in 1989.
Today, JBC has grown to include fuel wholesale and transportation in Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Utah, Nevada and South Dakota. We operate a total of 26 truck trailer combinations which are a mixture of company trucks and owner-operator units. Our safety record is second to none. JBC was the 2006 Nebraska Truck Safety Grand Champion. In 2008, and again in 2009, JBC was one of the Inc. Magazine 5,000 fastest growing

During the 1990s the company refocused on wholesale fuel and transportation and sold the farm delivery and the tank and pump businesses. By 2001 JBC had exited the convenience store business as well.
